425 Walmer Road 425 Walmer Road
A rather unique boutique luxury building of only 17 units, located a short walk from Forest Hill Village. With only 11 storeys, you know the condos are quite large at 425 Walmer. In fact, the smallest unit is 1,654sf, ranging up to 3,212 square feet for the largest. While there are no balconies, the huge size of the condos certainly makes up for the lack of outdoor space. As expected with a luxury building such as this, each suite comes with parking for 2 cars. They even have private elevator access!

70 Montclair Avenue 70 Montclair Avenue
Another apartment conversion, this is one of the co-ownerships that can be found around the Village. Much less expensive than many others, but you get what you pay for. Namely, you are buying an old apartment. Some have been renovated, but many have not. The prices are low, but the financing is different. They range from 1 to 3 bedrooms, many with balconies (some enclosed). Floors are parquet and walls are concrete and plaster. The location is superb, no question about that. 319 Lonsdale Road 319 Lonsdale Road
Built in the 1920s as a rental apartment building, 319 Lonsdale was converted into condos around 2003. Many of the gracious old apartments along Lonsdale and throughout Forest Hill Village have been preserved in this way. Everything is new, including all city power and plumbing lines. The only thing left that is original is the exterior brick, the hallways and stairways – keeping that brownstone feel. It will appeal to down-sizers from large homes in Forest Hill who want to stay in the village. It will also appeal to those who want the feel of a house as opposed to a condo, but who don’t want the upkeep.

—————————————————————————————————————————————

Forest Hill is an exclusive neighborhood situated in central-north Toronto. It was originally the village of Forest Hill, later united with the Village of Swansea and then incorporated into the city of Toronto.

First named Spadina Heights, Forest Hill acquired its name from a vacation home of the late John Wickinson. Forest Hill Village, which is a main part of Forest Hill, takes up majority of the original area of the village, extending from the north at Eglinton Avenue to the south at Heath Street along Spadina Road between Bathurst Street and Avenue Road.

Split into two parts, (Lower and Upper Village) the Lower Forest Hill Village is known for its upscale shopping and dining. It has also drawn a wide range of residential development, with many apartments, as well as the grand homes it is known for.
